Netbook Reflection 2012

I was excited when I got my netbook in term 3.

I found writing  was easier because if  I got something wrong the computer could fix my work. I learned to make an ebook for room1 and 2. I used photos of animals from the zoo. I read my ebook to room1 and 2.

I practised  my times tables in maths. It was fun playing maths games.

The netbook has helped me with my maths, reading and writing.

Disco

Last Friday year 6 and 7 had a disco organised by Mr Hendricks and the police. It was fun and cool  at the Disco  because the children of  G.I.S. were dancing with the music.  The best part of the disco was dancing.

Survey and Roport.

Survey and Report.
Last month the children of Glen Innes School were asked which was their favourite ice-cream? I asked ten children for my survey. I used excel to draw my 3D graph. My date was represented in a column graph.Chocolate ice-cream was the most popular with seven children liking it. Vanilla was the least popular. I think children like chocolate so that is the reason they like chocolate ice-cream.

Weird and Wacky food Festivals

Walt:Write a summary.
Weird and Wacky Food Festival

The people in Bunol in Spain have festivals all the time. The Tomato Festival is on the last Wednesday in August and runs for a week. Someone climbs up the pole and gets the ham, the first person to get the ham gets to jump into the tomato pool. They have tomato festivals in the streets too,  The people in Bunol throw tomatoes at each other. Most of the people get covered in tomatoes. They look all messy but it sounds like fun.
